Bill Hicks was raging against President Bush The Elder and the first Iraq war, but without a date on an audio the characters of his narrative were strangely spot on for 2004. WhatWouldBillHicksSay.com became a forum to express how contemporary Bill Hicks' material remains. We created a contest, asking if Bill Hicks were alive today, What Would Bill Hicks Say?
results... the website and the project were turned into a book that sold just ok and most of the winners in the book were pissed at me for a number of reasons, some very valid. i got swamped. i got overwhelmed. i had never edited a book before and i made some mistakes. let me tell you though, having a book published by an established art house gives me serious street-cred in certain circles.
